FAMILY AND FRIENDS AUDIENCES (lesson for amateur Ventriloquists)
As a amateur Ventriloquist your first audience should be family and friends audiences. The family and friends audiences are shows that you do for no money at all, it's for training and experience and selfpromoting. the family and friends audiences may be large or small but the goal stays the same, the goal is stage time, gain experience and getting out there developing your Ventriloquist career. The family and friends audiences are familiar faces and people that you know and they know you, the family and friends audiences are not the audience full of strangers. here are a few family and friends audiences, birthday party of a relative or friend, a family wedding or wedding of a coworker, a sweetsixteen celebration of a classmate, a family Christmas party or friends Christmas party, family celebrations, family and friends holiday parties, school talent shows or school talent contest. These family and friends audiences are for the amateur Ventriloquists only not a beginner Ventriloquist.

Moving up the ladder but still in the family and friends audiences category............... Some places have a open mic π€ night as a amateur Ventriloquist take advantage of these opportunities, when you decide that you want to move up a step from the family and friends audiences on your Ventriloquist career ladder..let me mention going up the ladder to the next step in your Ventriloquist career from family and friends audiences is a very very big step, because you're now performing in mix company when you enter the open mic or amateur night stage, this stage is mix company and mix company is a audience of strangers with friends and family.. before you walk on a amateur night stage or talent show or talent contest or television amateur talent show be sure you are ready to move up to the next step, yes open mic night and talent shows are in the family and friends category but now you are entering into the public eyes.so if you are not ready to perform for the public do not enter any open mic or amateur night or television talent shows.
πͺ
The next step from family and friends audiences is open mic night or amateur night, the difference is that you are performing in front of strangers and maybe a few family and friends. As you move up the ladder in your Ventriloquist career you will learn the do and don't do, you will learn what works and what do not work. as a amateur Ventriloquist be ready and prepared to turn pro, because that will be your next step up the ladder of your Ventriloquist career. after vaudeville ended Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen was seen performing at a party by a radio show producer, this party show lead Edgar Bergen a ventriloquist radio career for twenty years. There's amateur night television shows that can lead to a professional Ventriloquist career. Make sure you put in the time with family and friends audiences before moving up a step on the ladder πͺ to open mic night or amateur night. I want to share how it works so that you understand yourself how it works. when I was a amateur Ventriloquist I lived directly next door to a preschool,Sammy and I would read fairytale story books to the little school children in the preschool class room. one day I walked into the house coming home from middle school and my mother told me I had many many telephone calls voice mail messages on her telephone answering machine. Those messages were from the little preschool kids parents calling to hire me and Sammy for their kids birthday parties, this opportunity automatically moving my Ventriloquist career up the ladder from amateur to semi pro, so that's how it works, beginner -amatur-semi pro - professional.
let me briefly explain the ladder πͺ to the amateur Ventriloquists.. you say what's the big deal if someone pays me for my Ventriloquist act as a amateur? the answer to that question is, once someone book you/ hire you as a entertainer you are no longer an amateur, you are now being paid by someone to do a "job" and you can not do any more free shows because of that first business transaction, you are a business person or semi pro Ventriloquist.. if you make the wrong discussion in going up the ladder from amateur to pro, refund your customers their money and return back to amateur status.. or if someone really really wants to book/hire you for their event you can become semi pro and this will protect you as a nonprofit business professional, meaning your customers pay you what they want to pay you and not what you are asking or demand but you can always hire the middle man to handle your business transactions such as your asking fee and demanding fees, that's why some professional Ventriloquists have a middle man. So there you have it all in one lesson for the amateur next step up the ladder πͺ.. if you don't know what a middle man is, a middle man is a agent, someone who gets half your π€ MONEYπ΅.
