1. do you know the history of the art of ventriloquism? 
2. can you speak with out moving your lips?
3.have you mastered voice control?
4.do your Ventriloquist figure has a personality or character different from you?
5.have you crafted manipulation of your Ventriloquist figure.
6.have you study theater of the art.. drama, comedy... playwriting, acting, character development, subject line, punchline, setup line.. speech.
7.have you study the art of magic.
8.have you study the art of puppetry.
9.have you learn about the art of dolls? makers and collectibles.
9.do you know the autobiography of Edgar Bergen? and the great Lester?
10. can you create the illusion of life of two people by carrying on a pretend conversation.?

After you have answered all these questions with your true honesty. Take the test by entering the family and friends audiences category. you will not fail the test, the only way to fail the test is by giving up or quitting. after beginner level is amateur level after amateur level is semi-professional and professional..if you feel that you are not ready to advance to the next level stay at the level that you are and go back to class, practice practice practice, study study study and cheer for the professionals. No need to rush your growth, a matter of fact you can stay at the level that you are comfortable with, if you enjoy the level of a beginner be the best at the beginner level, if you are comfortable with the amateur Ventriloquists level be the best amateur Ventriloquist that you can be, if you are comfortable at the semi pro or professional level then enjoy being at the pro level. all levels have good benefits and it's all about growth.
