PANTOMIME

PANTOMIME is with out words.. performers Express meaning through gestures. 

amateur Ventriloquists should practice and study the art of pantomime and also add pantomime into their Ventriloquist routine or skit. as a amateur Ventriloquist you are the straight man in the act, you are the responsible person not like your partner, he or she is the comedy and the careless one. pantomime adds more movement to your Ventriloquist act, if your partner says something funny or serious you can respond with pantomime, such as a facial expression or a body gesture ✋👌 😜 😳😲 👍😊 😆.. pantomime is also a art of dance, if your partner sing songs as a ventriloquist you can dance next to your partner. be sure to rehearse your Ventriloquist pantomime routine or skit or act before performing in front of an audience. In using pantomime it's a two way street of communicating, this means, the Ventriloquist can speak to the audience with voice and body language, as  your Ventriloquist partner speaks you react with out sound or words, this gives true true theater of Ventriloquism and that is two people on stage having a real live conversation. What to study for pantomime is Charlie Chaplin, charlie Chaplin comic actor and film actor... I would also like for you to watch a short movie with out sound, to study the facial expressions and body language, maybe two times with out sound then watch it with sound, then start again with sound acting it out as if it was a 🪞 mirror. This is learning to communicate along side your Ventriloquist partner with out speaking. the more you use pantomime as a amateur Ventriloquist the better your Ventriloquist act will look on stage. Pantomime brings the audience closer to the act or skit, the audience gets involved in the situation and the conversation that you and your character are having. using pantomime is a choice of  your Ventriloquist training, you can use or not use it and I need to say, pantomime is a art of it's own so basically if you add pantomime to your Ventriloquist act, you would be combining two arts together.. so if you choose pantomime, you would need to become a student of the art of pantomime.
