Your voice and your character voice. (voice control)

When you speak your lines use your own voice, then when you speak your character lines speak with a different voice different from your very own voice. as a beginner you need not to change voice with out moving your lips, at first you only want to learn how to change back to back from Ventriloquist voice to character voice, then you begin to practice with out moving your lips, so in this lesson on voice control it's okay to move your lips but if you feel comfortable then practice voice control and lip control at the same time together. Voice control gives the audience a view of who is talking. When the audience  hear your character voice and see the mouth moving it look as if the voice is coming from your character and not you the Ventriloquist.
most students learn lip control first, I say voice control should be more time investing while learning lip control. so if you are now practicing lip control add voice control into the practice time. voice control helps out a lot in the magic of Ventriloquism, if you can speak fast changing your voices with out moving your lips the magical effect is great.
