MANIPULATION OF THE VENTRILOQUIST FIGURE (for beginners)

Manipulation of your Ventriloquist character or puppet or dummy or doll is very important.
1.do not jerk the movement of the figure, the movement of the Ventriloquist figure should be smooth or gentle.

2. when the Ventriloquist figure mouth is moving it should be as if it was talking and not you, this means there should be a movement for every syllable spoken.

3.timing of mouth movements of the Ventriloquist character with words should be seriously practiced. 

4.studying body language of human beings to use for the Ventriloquist character body language is a good study.. having your Ventriloquist character talking with her leg crossed.. have the Ventriloquist character scratching their noes or top of head.. have the Ventriloquist character looking around while you are speaking, have the Ventriloquist character cough or sneeze 🤧 ... have the figure yawn or even fall asleep.. have the figure daydreaming while you the Ventriloquist are speaking to the audience.. have the Ventriloquist character ignoring you the Ventriloquist.

5. Your character whispers something in your ear is a beautiful illusion...your Ventriloquist character says to you come closer, you put your ear to your Ventriloquist character mouth,  your Ventriloquist character mouth is moving as if it was whispering in your ear, you the Ventriloquist can point to someone in audience and the Ventriloquist character can nod their head up and down as in saying yes.... or the Ventriloquist character and the Ventriloquist can take turns whispering in each others ears pointing at people in the audience,the Ventriloquist character enjoys the mocking by showing laughing silently. 

6.turn your Ventriloquist character head with a sharp turn left to right about for four times give the body language of saying "NO".... a gentle nodding of your Ventriloquist character tilting the head upward with tilting the head downward about four times give the body language of saying "YES" or "agreement" 

7. how to manipulate your Ventriloquist character 😂 laughing: opening the figure mouth wide with raising the head up and down a tiny bit give the body language of silently laughing and if you would like to add sound just have the figure voice laugh with the body language of laughing. 

8. THEATER 🎭 🎭:   Treat your Ventriloquist character or characters like they were alive and like they were real people. Your Ventriloquist character are actors, you the Ventriloquist are a artist of illusion. the creator of the illusion of life, your Ventriloquist character live through you the Ventriloquist in a play in a Ventriloquist act.
