This lesson is very important to how well you developed your speaking with out moving your lips, you may not think that there is a level to speaking with out moving your lips but you will learn in this lesson that there are levels of skills to lip control. You may watch a very famous Ventriloquist performing and see a some lip movement then you might see a amateur Ventriloquist performing with a nearly closed mouth that's called excellent ventriloquism, what's the difference between the professional and the amateur in the above example the difference is the amateur is a better Ventriloquist, just because a Ventriloquist is a professional or famous doesn't mean that he or she is a good Ventriloquist. the more you practice, the more you study, the more you create, the more time you are in rehearsal, the better you become. What is excellent ventriloquism? excellent ventriloquism lip control is speaking clearly and be understood with a nearly closed mouth. When I was a beginner Ventriloquist I practice day and night and morning with lip control so much and so very much people at my school kept asking me why would a skinny little boy like me get my mouth wired, well sometimes when I would be talking to my friends at school I didn't realize that I was speaking with out moving my lip, what is getting your mouth wired? getting your mouth wired back in the day when I was a kid was a surgery diet where you didn't eat your food with your mouth you eat your food by sucking your food through a straw.

in this lesson we are going to discuss lip control and how the level of lip control works, so the next  time you see a professional Ventriloquist you will know his true dedication to the art of ventriloquism just by reading there lips.

this was my level in middle school as a semi pro Ventriloquist not to brag but I was shocked myself.. this is the level of excellence lip control..the character voice is heard loud and clear.. and today my lip control is still at this level

this one is basic and average but if you can get to this level with much more practice you can get to nearly closed.

excellent.. take a look at how nearly closed the mouth is, when you practice this is an example of your lips positioning. I want you to remember there's a skill level so don't get frustrated, just ask a ballerina how much she practice to improve her skills, same here.

Look at this demonstration closely, the head is slightly tilted upward giving vision of a complete closed mouth,now to an audience that is sitting maybe ten feet away from a Ventriloquist this lip control position would create a beautiful illusion. 

Let's try to study this one to create the 

 illusion of speaking with a complete closed mouth..  let's take a look at angle of the audience view, next is stage lighting, dimming the lights on the Ventriloquist face and next is tilting your lips in a slightly upward position and of course the a high level of lip control.

this is called lip control illusions and theses kinds of Ventriloquists are masters of the art of ventriloquism, this trick is no different than the Ventriloquist speaking with a ✏️ in his or her mouth. This illusion of lip control can only be done after a Ventriloquist reach the skill level of excellence lip control. The little daisy flowers are used for misdirection by the Ventriloquist to create a grand illusion.

smoking with lip control is another master of illusion Ventriloquist trick, this is where the Ventriloquist of master the art of lip control show off his or her Ventriloquism skills, yes the Ventriloquist character actually talks while the Ventriloquist smoke a cigarette at the same time, I did this illusion a couple of times but exhaling the smoke out my nose instead of my mouth. Why do I call it an illusion because it's based on timing and misdirection. 

Note:to the beginner Ventriloquist this is a warning as a beginner it's not wise for you to try this Ventriloquist trick at a beginner lip control level you need to be at the excellent lip control level to attempt this trick.. you might choke to death trying with a beginner skill level, if you do try this Ventriloquist illusion of smoking a cigarette 🚬 and having your Ventriloquist character talking at the same time please practice on getting to the excellent level of excellence lip control then do the research on how the illusion is created.. again smoking a cigarette and talking at the same time is a Ventriloquist illusion.

this lip control is a basic level for any Ventriloquist, as you can see the voice has plenty of room to travel out and the breathing can be at a normal level of speech air flow and the visual is great where the audience can see. So if you can get to this level of lip control mouth position consider yourself a average level Ventriloquist. This is a good position to practice for your lip control. In this position the lips should remain still while the tongue makes the pronunciations of the words for the lips..I can see gap where the sound can escape clearly with no interference,I can also see where if the Ventriloquist chooses to inhale through the nose 👃 and exhale out the mouth there should be no trouble with that but this is a topical Ventriloquist lip control position.

here we have another show off, and it's nothing wrong with being a show off if you are a master in lip control. when you become above excellent in lip control you can do all kinds of things such as having your Ventriloquist character singing while you the Ventriloquist pulling your lips outward and downward with your fingers.

relax your jaw, part your lips💋 exhale slowly through your parted lips and inhale slowly out your nose, rest your top back teeth on your bottom back teeth, have the tip of your tongue ready to say words of the Ventriloquial alphabets such as "nary" nary night NARRY nichael.. now say with moving your lips in your own voice Mary might marry Michael now have your Ventriloquist character repeat in his or her own voice with your lips in the demonstration photo position, your Ventriloquist character says "nary night NARRY nichael and you say to your Ventriloquist character maybe marry will marry Michael.  The substitute alphabet for M IS N, so the tip of your tongue will practice on pronunciation of N for M your tongue will not pronounce saying NARY alone the word nary will be involved in a sentence or speech, in a sentence the pronunciation nary in the Ventriloquist character voice will get the sound of the word MARY, so you the Ventriloquist will need to gather some acting skills to help create the sound of speech.

having great lip control with lip rings added is very amusing for an audience, is it a distraction no because look at the level of lip control in the photo demonstration of a slightly closed mouth and if you can speak with lip piercings as a ventriloquist I think that's a plus to your illusional effect, of course us Ventriloquists know that the piercing of your lips does not effect your Ventriloquism ability but your audience doesn't know that, like I said I think it add to the illusion if you have excellent lip control why not throw on lip piercings to show off your skills to your audience.

practice a lip control position that you are comfortable with as you will see during this class many different levels of skills in lip control. What you want is to speak in a lip control position that is loud and clear at a relaxing comfort of the jaw muscles. This lip control position that you see in the demonstration photo is a high level position and it will take lots of practice to speak in this mouth position, it is a comfortable position of lip control if you can get to this level of practice. 

If you look at the demonstration photo, your breathing control through your nose will help a lot for this lip control level.

I will mention here that wearing 💄 makeup can also help in the illusion of lip control. Men and women can wear stage makeup on stage during a Ventriloquist act on stage. Makeup can draw attention or be for misdirection. by using bright colors the audience eyes will be focused on that color and using dark colors the audience will not pay so much attention to. So for an example red lipstick will catch the eyes more than brown or pink or tan lipstick so if you want to draw attention away from your low level lip control you can use makeup to help you with that, also don't forget get that you have a Ventriloquist character that can help draw attention away from your low level lip control.

as I reached the level of excellence lip control I toyed with my audience with illusions of unbelievable mind blowing Ventriloquism illusions. 

in this master grand illusion photo demonstration the Ventriloquist pull on his lips inward outward upward downward, tap on his front teeth with his  fingers, pull on his cheeks, poke out his bottom lip, twist the lips from left to right, doing all this while the Ventriloquist character is singing loud and clear.

when you Master the art of lip control you will be able to make facial expressions while your Ventriloquist character is speaking. What do I mean by that, it means that you will a master of illusions, it means the words coming out of you the Ventriloquist will be coming out of your Ventriloquist character. How so? With training and practice you will learn to play two roles in a play and play is your Ventriloquist act.. your facial expressions has nothing to do with sound but with timing and the mastering of lip control you will give a effect to sight and sound. The truth of the matter is that your acting ability skills will grow and develop then you will understand what I am trying to explain to you here.. The audience will see to separate characters on stage in a Ventriloquist act that is what you will create through facial expressions and voice.

let's talk about the beginner Ventriloquist lip control position. In this demonstration photo this would be the most popular way a beginner Ventriloquist begins or some one trying to speak with out moving their lips for the first time.. this is a no level lip control mouth position, we all know that this Ventriloquist has no practice in lip control and there's no jaw muscles..as we can see a smiling position is for beginners, as our goal is to speak clearly with a nearly closed mouth, this lip control position is far from closed.

as you look you can see the tongue of the Ventriloquist moving, that is why this is a no level lip control.. you don't want the audience to see the Ventriloquist throat of the vocal cords moving, you don't want the audience to see the Ventriloquist tongue trying to pronounce words.. you will see many beginner Ventriloquists starting out in this lip control position and it's not bad and it's okay to smile but you don't want to look like you are in pain and you don't want to sound like you just leave from the dentist office, as you practice in this lip control mouth position you want to work on relaxing your jaw muscles and exercising your cheeks, then as you practice your jaws and cheeks are going to learn to work together bring your lip control in to a better level of excellence or perfection... you don't want a stone face or stiff face so while you are at this beginner level lip control position moisturizer your face and cheeks with lotion so this area of your face becomes relaxed enough for the muscles to move smoothly.

as you can see from the demonstration photo the sound can be heard loud and clear and the audience can see the Ventriloquist smile..the smile is wide, the jaws are strong and the mouth position keeps the lips from moving creating a simple wonderful illusion.

as a ventriloquist you want to study on words and sound, how will words and sound travel out of a person nearly closed mouth. As you can see in this demonstration the mouth is nearly closed.

When you practice part your lips slightly try to speak as clearly and loudly as can then part your lips a little wider and wider until you can get to a practice position that you can speak. Then the more you practice your mouth will close more and more.

this lip control shows a ventriloquist that practice a lot but is still in the beginners mouth position situation so don't worry if you are at this level where the audience can see your tongue pronouncing the words for your lips just keep practicing and soon the magic will happen just look at the demonstration photo almost there with a little more practice the tongue pronouncing the words for the lips will not be seen at all, the cheeks will become stronger and the jaws lower to close the mouth a little more.

as a bodybuilder develop the muscle 💪 of the body you also will build to develop your Ventriloquial muscles, the tongue is a muscle, your jaw has muscles, your cheeks has muscles so exercise those Ventriloquial muscles to buildup stronger just like a body builder.  

so there you have it in this demonstration photo,the complete closed mouth, there's no lip control in this mouth position because there's no lips to control, if you move into this position it will be for musical reasons such as humming a song.. we close this lip control lesson with a demonstration photo of a complete closed mouth because yes it's impossible to speak with your mouth CLOSED.
