VENTRILOQUIST ACTING CLASS. ππ (for beginners Ventriloquist only) π
welcome to the theater class for beginner Ventriloquists!!!
you may think that you would need to attend acting school or the theater of arts or the school of the arts and sure yes it would help to further your training but the regular lessons in the art of Ventriloquism will give you plenty of training for your Ventriloquist career.
Even a basic education in the art of ventriloquism is enough skills and training for becoming a famous movie star or world famous artist, the changes come when a Ventriloquist choose to become something else like David Copperfield or Johnny Carson did but other than that a basic training in the art of ventriloquism theater will go a long way in your Ventriloquist career.
A Ventriloquist can add the art of magic to their Ventriloquist act if the Ventriloquist would like to become a magician.
A Ventriloquist can add singing to their Ventriloquist act if the Ventriloquist choose to become a singer and trust me it's much more entertaining for an audience to watch a Ventriloquist singing act than a solo singer, unless the solo singer is a popular singer.
What about acting? You ask I thought this was a acting class?... here's your answer that no other ventriloquism school is going to teach you... The complete total package of the art of ventriloquism is THEATER π it's called a ventriloquist act for a reason.. we have two characters in front of an audience carrying on a pretend conversation, the theater logo means drama and comedy, in the pretend conversation you have the drama that is you the Ventriloquist and then you have the comedy that is your Ventriloquist character and so everything thing you're learning in this school is πππππ THEATER πππ

The greatest thing about being a Ventriloquist is that you are your own boss, you own "you" meaning what ever you create in the art of ventriloquism you are the soul owner of that creation don't you love it!
Writing ✍️ is a big deal for us Ventriloquists we need to continue to write new scripts and gather new ideas for our "Ventriloquist act"
writing takes time so don't worry your scripts will completely automatically develop into a dialogue then become a set of Ventriloquist acts for you to perform.
Your scripts are your playwright.. what is a laywright? In my view not as an actor but as a ventriloquist are a script of plays, what is are plays? it's a story, in the Ventriloquist case a short story, in the story are conversations and events, in the story there's a beginning, a middle and a end..the characters in the story interact with each other from the beginning to the end..I can't tell you what the story is about so you the Ventriloquist need to tell us with your Ventriloquist act the story. This story in theater are called plays and the script is called playwright again I am a Ventriloquist with four years of acting of drama class, I am not an actor so my training is from the study of a Ventriloquist theater not strictly acting so plays to a actor will have a different definition, a actor is acting as one character and a Ventriloquist is acting as many characters.
centuries ago puppet shows were a huge favorite for entertaining audiences all over the world. A very popular puppet show many many years ago was called the punch and Judy show this show would be controversial today or even banned, for that reason I searched for a original copy of the punch and Judy show to put in my collection. Puppet shows centuries ago were scripted, puppet shows were puppet plays not like a Ventriloquist act drama and comedy were the main purpose of the script but a puppet show script could be anything such as being strictly drama or strictly comedy or both. A Ventriloquist act is expected to have some type of comedy written into the script I think it's just traditional from the audience otherwise the script becomes a script of a horror show, such as the movie Chucky or the movie magic starring actor Anthony Hopkins. so even though a puppet script can be all drama but as a ventriloquist act play it safe and write some funny lines for your Ventriloquist character. You can get funny lines for your Ventriloquist character from joke books or jokes online if you can not come up with some funny lines for your Ventriloquist character.
Acting is pretending and pretending is not reality.. something made up..a world of make believe. us Ventriloquists are nothing more than great pretenders, the more we practice the more powerful we become.. are we the Ventriloquist actors and actresses the answer is no, we use acting skills to create an illusion because we are illusionist... We create the "what if" and with the art of Persian comes acting.
In acting facial expressions will help the Ventriloquist alot and some Ventriloquist characters are made with facial expressions effects such as raising eyebrows, stick out π
tongue, crying π effects, moving π eyes, ears that wiggle, closing and open eyes, etc. facial expressions on some of those Ventriloquist figures are very realistic it helps the Ventriloquist create the illusion of life more easily than using manipulation of the Ventriloquist figure alone... Being good at being a Ventriloquist is getting to know your Ventriloquist character, the way you interact with your Ventriloquist character will help you become a better actor.. when you spend time writing your scripts make sure your Ventriloquist character is near or with you because it will help you visualize the character in the play...close your eyes then imagine your Ventriloquist character sitting in the principal office, image what the principal looks like and what the school principal said to the Ventriloquist character, now open your eyes, sit your Ventriloquist character on your knee for a rough draft of your vision..
Ventriloquist: how was school today?
Character: I spent the whole day in the principle office and it was fun!
Ventriloquist: the principal office!..
character: yelp!!..
Ventriloquist: you should have been in the classroom all day not the principal office, why were you sent to the principal office?..
Character: because little Joe wanted to go to school with me so he hide in my back pocket and wouldn't come out so the teacher sent me to the principal..
Ventriloquist: so you say you had fun in the principal office..
Character: yes just me and little Joe playing all day in the principal office...
Ventriloquist: your school principal leave you in his office all day by yourself, I don't understand why would your school principal do a thing like that...
character: you would leave too if you were there when little Joe finally came out my back pocket..
Ventriloquist: who's little Joe?..
Character: a skunk π¦¨
π π end π
That script is an example of a Ventriloquist dialogue, who, what, when and why are some tool words and questions you can use to bring your imagination of the "what if" to life. In the story we all know it's not good for any child to be sent to the principal office from the classroom and we know as an authority figure that it's not good for a school principal to leave a student in the office alone so this story brings concerns from the mindset of adults or parents or authority figures and as the story ends it's all understandable.
