I am a witness of the evolution of social media because when I retired from performing my Ventriloquist act live on stage the superhighway was a new road to take my Ventriloquist act down..I enjoyed performing in the comedy clubs many years, traveling from town to town city to city state to state, during this time my production company was working on many projects and one of those projects was the growth of the production company instead of the live performances production shows.
Before social media there were telemarketing and hotlines such as toll free telephone call centers, if you call the toll free (1-800) telephone number and use your credit card a person will answer the phone to read you your horoscope, some of the toll free telephone numbers were dirty talk fantasy hotlines but then websites with the dot com came on the scene with the invention of the VHS camera now the hotlines telephone numbers can be seen and heard together, people used the VHS camera for family and friends events then went home to watch the video on a VHS player, remember I mentioned websites came on the scene at around of the same time of the invention of the VHS, there was a website that told people that they can upload there videos on their website for more people to watch besides your family and friends the website name was Youtube.com , people uploaded their videos on to the website because the VHS cassette tapes take up a lot of room in some places in their homes, after uploading the video on YouTube the vhs cassette tapes were put in the trash, so anytime you wanted to watch your highschool football game you would go on the Youtube website to watch it and that is how I witnessed with my own eyes the growth of YouTube today.. we will also talk about the invention of the telephone so you can see how it all is connected and let's me be clear social media is telemarketing combined with the website invention...what is a website? Al Gore shouted from the rooftop about the information super highway, some people wondered 🤔 about what was this guy on the rooftop shouting about...us Ventriloquists should be as the scientists are to be inventors also in the art of ventriloquism, as you will see on this subject the evolution of the caveman tools.

I once was in a friendship dating relationship with someone that worked at a call center of a hotline, my friend invited me to their office because my friend wanted to teach me about show business my friend knew I was in show business and wanted to amuse me with another style of entertainment so I watched my friend work at the call center sitting in small rooms near us about fifty of my friends coworkers reading from a script, typing on a computer, changing their voices on the phone to callers, I seen how the sausage was made that visit, I asked my friend do they ever meet the callers in person, my friend said " fantasy is not reality we provide fantasy not reality" my friend said that we have something in common we're both Ventriloquists I added what I learned from my friend that night to my Ventriloquist career... Technology will always have a puppet master, there is always a wizard of Oz someone behind the curtain or the statue...the information superhighway travels around the world, cellular towers, Wi-Fi towers, satellite 📡🛰️ are all over the world 🌍 we live in a digital world, a global economy..the antenna are on the highest mountains..I watched my friend at work changing voices going from one character to another character for each call keeping the caller entertained long enough to max out the callers credit card 💳 is it a scam no because the caller can hang up the phone 🤳 at anytime, it's live entertainment for sure, today we have websites called "only fans" so as you can see we are still a caveman with better tools... credit cards was a big deal for people who want to buy with credit instead of cash, there were mail order catalog that you could shop from such as JCPenney or Sears, all you needed to do was call the catalog phone number place your order, give your credit card 💳 number and wait for your item to arrive in the mail, today the mail order catalog has been replaced by online website.
I want you the student not to be afraid to use some of the caveman old tools, yes you can creat your very own mail order catalog the same way in the pass history, people still shop with a credit card today, and so many different other cards today, even money orders and personal checks are being used today.. toll free telephone number are still available today, don't put all your seeds into social media or new popular caveman tool.if something worked in the pass it can work now, all your friends are driving electric vehicles so you have a old gasoline car sitting in the garage for many years, put gasoline in the tank and use it for your Ventriloquist career, you have a old VHS 📼 camera that still works use it for your Ventriloquist career..old technology can still be used today the problem with old items is supply, it's plenty of new items such as parts for repairs and for old items parts might be few.

As a ventriloquist you may think that a ventriloquist can use robotics for the art of ventriloquism, using 🤖 robots are the art of science not the art of ventriloquism.. robots have been one of Ventriloquism greatest oppositions since the ending of vaudeville. a Ventriloquist is a human being not a 🤖 robot. should a Ventriloquist use electronics in a Ventriloquist act the answer is magicians use electronics and Ventriloquists are not magicians...so you want to know the secret of the walking dummy, if it's not electronically how does the Ventriloquist dummy walk on its own.. many years ago I watched a Ventriloquist act live on stage where the Ventriloquist was looking all over the stage for his Ventriloquist character the Ventriloquist says "where are Jerry it's show time?" Then The Ventriloquist character voice is heard saying "catch me if you can" and then the Ventriloquist character runs across the stage pass the Ventriloquist to back stage the Ventriloquist runs back stage out of view of the audience to return walking back on stage carrying the Ventriloquist character on his arm to center stage in view of the audience. The secret is the person you see running across the stage is the Ventriloquist little son or daughter wearing a customized costume of the image of the Ventriloquist character at a distant from the audience to the stage it seems as if the Ventriloquist character actually run across the stage because it was quicker than the eyes while the Ventriloquist character voice is heard "catch me if you can" when the Ventriloquist runs back stage to bring the Ventriloquist character on stage gives the illusion of the walking dummy. The walking dummy is a customized Ventriloquist dummy custom and are still made today, it is a very entertaining illusion if done correctly..
