STREET VENDOR (for semi pro Ventriloquist)
In elementary school in my six grade there was a young man maybe around twenty five years old of age that worked at a toy factory..the young man would get the toys that the factory destroyed or throw away, the toys were factory inspection rejected, brand new but not good enough for the marketing department.
Me and my best friend name Marcel at the time in the six grade would be the young man helpers we helped carry the back pack full of toys and push the very large shopping cart 🛒 full of toys all around the city... from sun up 🌅 to 🌞 sun down...the young man had a wife and a new born baby 🐥 at home so the toy street vending business was a side hustle for the young man to bring in extra money for his wife and new born baby... setting up brand new boxes of toys on the freeway off ramp was a big money maker for me, Marcel and the young man..and also the Christmas ⛄🎁 holidays was a good time money maker in the poor neighborhood shopping centers parking lot areas..
these toys were name brand toys with small defects or mistakes such as a button with a misspelled word, some of the toys were very expensive toys in the stores... the young man taught Marcel and I about business, it's so funny a few times we set up our street vending shopping cart in front of a busy department store that was selling the same toys we were selling, the customers went inside the department store, when the customers walk out the store they would ask us what was the difference in our toys and the toy stores, the young man explain to the customers that it's the same toys but his toys have mistakes in spelling on the words the customers bought many toys from us to save a lot of money, besides the small problems with the toys were very very unnoticeable.
I remember seeing the young man when I became a teenager, he was very popular in the neighborhood when I seen him in my teenage years he was still a toy street vendor, when I went to go visit my old neighborhood in my adult years the young man was no longer a toy street vendor but his house was now a toy and candy store, his wife was known as the candy lady, the house was always full of customers with children and families buying and shopping for toys, snacks and candy.
Being a street vendor of selling your very own products will be a financial benefit for your ventriloquist career.. selling your very own merchandise as a street vendor as me and Marcel and the young man did in our youth years will be a wonderful investment.

There are many famous ventriloquists that have companies that manufacturer their Ventriloquist characters such as ventriloquist Darci ,Willie Tyler, and Jeff Dunham..and it would really be fascinating if the famous ventriloquists took advantage of that opportunity to sell those items to the public themselves..a famous ventriloquist said that a company was manufacturing her ventriloquist character and that she didn't get any of the profits, in a business opportunity like that the famous ventriloquist should buy some of those manufacturers puppets of her ventriloquist character to sell for herself for in the future, why? because the customer and fan base will rather buy from the artist than the manufacturer, if ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is pushing a shopping cart 🛒 down a busy street full of his very own merchandise all of those products will be gone in minutes now let's say a unknown salesperson is pushing that same shopping 🛒 cart down that same street it may be a different outcome for the Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham products.
You yourself can manufacture your own products with your very own Ventriloquist production company..in elementary school I had my own manual script production company because I was a writer before I became a ventriloquist, after becoming a Ventriloquist my production has become a Ventriloquist production company.
Make your very own Ventriloquist act hats, tshirts, puppets, pack them nicely in a 🛒 shopping cart then push that cart full of your own merchandise all around the city selling your very own Ventriloquist act products. If I can do it in the six grade I am sure you can do it.
my best friend in elementary school Marcel spending 💰 money on chilli cheese fries with his payments from the young man, I would spend my money on ink for my copy machine and office supplies for my production company.. Marcel was a six grader that loved chilli cheese fries 🍟....🌶️ 🧀 🍟 🍽️ 😋
some ventriloquists will never think of selling their own products but will work hard to sell a famous athlete Tshirt 👕 or merchandise or celebrity products.. it's branding, so you may think no one will buy your Ventriloquist act products, the answer is promoting your brand, this means when you are performing your Ventriloquist act make sure you get your name out to the public, then go out on the streets with your street vendor business, what I am trying to say is your street vendor business is a part of your show even though you're not performing for an audience your street vendor business is a financial benefit for your Ventriloquist act, so when you're not performing for profits, then your other sources of income for your Ventriloquist act is your street vendor business.
We want to keep selling merchandise the same items because what we want to do is grow the merchandise department of your Ventriloquist act for an example, if your Ventriloquist act merchandise has shoes, the shoes should not be Nike, the shoes should have your very own brand and logo.

Once you get your street vendor shopping cart 🛒 full of your very own tshirts, puppets, posters, movies, etc, you will learn that you have another income besides performing.
You do not need to mass produce if you don't have money, all you need is one or two items to produce for merchandising for an example one week you make two tshirts and the next week you make one hat adding a product each week... make a fashion line of clothing of your ventriloquist act if you know how to use needle 🧵 and 🧵 thread, in middle school I made some of my Ventriloquist figures clothes from old clothes I didn't wear anymore growing my wardrobe closet for my Ventriloquist characters, I learned how to use needle and thread on my own for making Sammy clothes and of course on purpose all of Sammy shirts had a hole in the back.
In some business talks you will hear " let the customers come to us" in this case you really want to take the product to the customers, because only a well known brand can truly say "let the customers come to us" as a ventriloquist act selling your own products I think no matter how famous you are you can take your products to the customers... The street vendor business will be another branch on your money tree 🌴.. this means you do not need to depend on show bookings for financial benefit for your Ventriloquist career..
yes your Ventriloquist street vendor business is in the physical with physical items, yes you will sell to the public, it's no different than being on stage with your Ventriloquist act you're still selling your Ventriloquist act to the public, meaning one is a performance of entertainment and the other is selling your Ventriloquist act products.. if you are good at making homemade gifts, those gifts can be for charity of your Ventriloquist act..yes even though you're ventriloquist act is on the semi pro Ventriloquist level having merchandise for charity can be a financial support for your Ventriloquist career... The street vendor business of your ventriloquist act is not only selling but it's going be part of self promoting and a marketing campaign and most importantly "branding" when you're out doing your street ventriloquist act vending business I don't want you to think about the moment that you are doing it, from ☀️ sun up to sun🌅 down pushing a 🛒 shopping cart full of your very own Ventriloquist act products going from city to city, from town to town planting the seeds for your Ventriloquist merchandise selling career and we all know it is the nature of the gods your seeds will grow.
The toys cost the young man nothing but the young man take nothing to make something the young man didn't invest money but what he did invest in was time, time was his seeds, trusting in two little six graders to show up every morning at the meet up spot to help water the seeds..the young man was poor but determined to be successful for his new wife and family, what Marcel and I were uncomfortable about was the young man carrying all that cash money in his pockets from our sellings so we talked to the young man about it, the young man said to Marcel and I "if we get robbed for all our money today will you show up at the meet up spot tomorrow morning? Marcel and I said "yes we will" the young man smile at both of us and give both of us a high-five handshake..no we never get robbed, or anything like that, even when we pushed our shopping cart 🛒 full of toys through the worst neighborhoods we had no problems, just mostly people buying toys from a twenty five year old young man and two eleven year old kids..it was great that the young man paid Marcel and I generously I mean twenty dollars in those days to a six grader was a lot of 💰 money!!
