The Jim barber Ventriloquist act is full of twist and turns of jaw dropping comedy. 

I give the Jim barber Ventriloquist act a grade of A+ for outrageous creativity in humorous skits.

Being a Ventriloquist doesn't always need to be stand-up comedy it also can be used with physical comedy.


Creating comedy acts using ventriloquism will be very interesting entertainment if you can creat skits with more than jokes.
A friend drag me to watch a Ventriloquist show and I said drag me because I told my friend if you seen one Ventriloquist act you have seen them all, my friend said you haven't seen this one! I am watching the Ventriloquist act live on stage the Ventriloquist character wearing a robe with 🥊 boxing gloves and all of a sudden I see the Ventriloquist character punch the Ventriloquist in the face, my jaw dropped the audience jumped up out their seats in shock,wow! How did the Ventriloquist create something so real..I ran home to study how the illusion was created.. I am not sure if the Ventriloquist act that night was Jim barber but if it was 👍a good job on that illusion of your Ventriloquist character physically sucker punching you in the face! The audience sure wasn't expecting that, now that I remember the skit, the skit was about the sport of boxing I think the Ventriloquist was telling the Ventriloquist character that he was not a Muhammad Ali or something like that.


this class is a study on creativity with physical comedy and not always needing to use your Ventriloquist act for vocal comedy.

Slap stick comedy is study for homework for this class.

Watching the Three stooges films will give you some ideas on physical comedy...

if you are walking on stage with your Ventriloquist character learning to slip and fall down to get up to walk to slip and fall down again is a opening act skit as you and your Ventriloquist character walk towards center stage keep slipping and falling down until you reach center stage where the microphone is located adding comedy music to your slip and fall down routine adds more laughter. 

In physical comedy you need to wear padding under your clothes to protect yourself from being hurt you want to create the illusion of something must be painful and not reality of yourself being actually in pain.

 one of my closing acts: A Ventriloquist character flirting with a audience member and ask the audience member out on a date, the Ventriloquist is protesting that the two came here together and are leaving here together and demand that the Ventriloquist character stop flirting with the audience member, the Ventriloquist character promises we are friends through thick and thin from the beginning to the end but the Ventriloquist character keep flirting with the audience, a waitress or waitter walking by is asked by the Ventriloquist character to come on stage, the waiter or waitress go on stage stand next to the Ventriloquist character, the Ventriloquist demand that the Ventriloquist character stop flirting with the waiter or waitress, the Ventriloquist character ask the waiter or waitress out on a date, the waiter or waitress says yes, the Ventriloquist demand that Ventriloquist character stay put but the Ventriloquist character is not listening to the Ventriloquist, the Ventriloquist character says to the waiter or waitress give me a hug while the Ventriloquist character is hugging the waiter or waitress the Ventriloquist character says good night to the Ventriloquist and the Ventriloquist character is carried away off stage with the waiter or waitress leaving the Ventriloquist standing alone..the Ventriloquist looks around then give a bow to the audience then exit the stage... the Ventriloquist character and Ventriloquist return back to the stage together for a final bow with smiling and laughing together.

( in the act the waiter or waitress is part of the act your brother or sister or friend can play the part of the waiter or waitress..     note: it's not wise for strangers from the audience in handling your Ventriloquist character especially your main Ventriloquist character). 
I have rewrote the ending a few times for this Ventriloquist act, the Ventriloquist character return to me the Ventriloquist, the waiter or waitress hand my Ventriloquist character back to me then my Ventriloquist character ends with a song, singing "we're friends through thick and thin from the beginning to the eeennnddd!!!"  
Another rewrite is where the waiter or waitress do a flirting back dance routine  after returning my Ventriloquist character to me.
 
What is the physical comedy in the writing of this Ventriloquist act skit, the act is friendship and the Ventriloquist actually standing as one person, the Ventriloquist character making a fool of the Ventriloquist the authority figure.

your Ventriloquist character asking the audience to come up on stage to give the Ventriloquist a pie in the face is always entertaining.. the Ventriloquist character plays a game with the audience that the Ventriloquist character is no dummy and he or she knows the answer to everthing and if the Ventriloquist character gets the answer wrong the Ventriloquist gets a pie in the face the Ventriloquist is surprisingly unaware of their participation in the game the Ventriloquist says that they're not playing this game but the Ventriloquist character start asking the audience to ask questions someone asking how many states in the United States of America and the Ventriloquist character says I don't know okay you win come on up here grab one of those whip 🍨 cream pies for my partners face! anymore questions from my very smart audience? people asking questions and the Ventriloquist character giving wrong answers while the Ventriloquist is a victim of circumstances is physically entertaining for audience participation. 🥧 🥧
