during the years 1940s A new challenger arrived for the Ventriloquist artist when the telephone came to the public fully.
(the telephone was invented in the year of the 1800s)..
1940s people can have a live conversation from miles away with each other. 
One of the most creative ventriloquism illusion is the telephone voice.

Even Today Ventriloquists can still use the telephone voice illusion. with a phone or  a speaker 🤳 phone.

The telephone voice is voice throwing and the original name for voice throwing is the distant voice.

The telephone voice is the distant voice with more pressure on the vocal cords.. 
the telephone voice is more difficult than the distant voice because of the Ventriloquist acting skills.. also the telephone voice requires breathing control..the telephone voice also requires lip control.

in using The distant voice the Ventriloquist use misdirection but with the telephone voice the Ventriloquist use acting skills.

The telephone voice is a ventriloquism illusion of a Ventriloquist act, this means the telephone voice is not just an illusion it is a Ventriloquist act with in itself.

When Ventriloquists began to take on the challenge of the invention of the telephone it was a successful victory for the Ventriloquist with the audiences... the telephone voice illusion will take time to master but the rewards are great.. the telephone is another tool that came up against the art of ventriloquism because now people can communicate with a voice on a device and during that time the telephone was an amazing invention for many people.

a Ventriloquist named the great Lester was a master of the telephone voice..Audiences were amazed by the great Lester, this lead the art of ventriloquism to victory of winning audiences interested more and more in the art of ventriloquism.. the great Lester carrying on a conversation with a telephone voice and smoking 🚬 a cigarette at the same time was a very popular Ventriloquist act of the great Lester.

The telephone voice is a very very very unbelievable illusion if done correctly and successfully..I have a Ventriloquist telephone voice act also, my telephone illusions are used for demonstrations and my telephone Ventriloquist act are short conversations because of shortwinded.. it's also because of not wanting to hurt my vocal cords.
