EMOTIONS "souls" THE AUDIENCE. πŸ•―️ πŸ•―️ 🎢 🩰 🌝 🎢 ✨πŸ•―️✨ (beginner Ventriloquist class) πŸŽ™️✨ πŸ•―️

We learn about the audience

Let's start by saying just because you don't have forty million followers on social media doesn't mean you don't have an audience so keep doing your Ventriloquist act online if that's where you feel comfortable performing your Ventriloquist act...if you feel comfortable performing live on stage then get your Ventriloquist act on stage..I enjoyed performing live on stage but when real life started to become a reality I refused to give up on my dreams, I worked on how can I live my dreams of being a Ventriloquist and living in the real world, as we study this lesson we will see that audiences are made with different people looking for an escape from reality.

Audience members are people that watch and listen to a Ventriloquist.

As you look at the demo photo above you can see the audience response emotionally to what ever is on stage..look at most of them applauding then take a look at the young man in the back left, some smile, so many audience members might respond differently to your Ventriloquist act.

your Ventriloquist act scripts can be anything or any subject.. I some times write a Ventriloquist act script aiming at the audience meaning if it's a outdoors event my Ventriloquist act would be based on weather or sports or something like that.. in that case of a out door event the script writing about sports or weather the audience can truly follow along with the ventriloquist act... remember not to perform your Ventriloquist act scripts for your children audiences for your mature audience such as comedy clubs and night clubs and teenage audiences, these mature audiences are audiences with the challenging mind set, so make sure your material fit your audience environment..
if your performance is for church audience keep the subject on the knowledge of that religion only, so that the audience can enjoy the script with out bias...
I can't tell you how to run your Ventriloquist career so if you choose to write controversial scripts, there's nothing wrong with a controversial Ventriloquist act two of my favorite Ventriloquist acts had controversy and I think sometimes it's okay to have some content that raises eyebrows of the audience that get their attention... you don't want to bore your audience you're a Ventriloquist and a Ventriloquist is a entertainer, dazzle your audience, charm your audience, thrill your audience, make them envy, make them proud, make them laugh, make them cry, make them dance, and guess what? They will love and hate you for ever..why? because all those things I mentioned "laughing" "envy" "charming" "proud" and so on, are all emotions...I don't know Edgar Bergen personally I know his art so I have a special place in my heart for Edgar Bergen simple because how his art made me feel, I laughed out loud with Charlie McCarthy, I myself envy Charlie McCarthy even though he was a fictional character but in the world of make believe Charlie McCarthy was my escape from the real world for a moment..I adore Lester of Ventriloquist Willie Tyler That I paid for tickets to go watch on stage live many times, Lester is like a real boy sitting on stage next to ventriloquist Willie Tyler.

The real world is a scary place, the real world is a dangerous place, the real world is a serious place, SCHOOL! WORK! CHORES! right?

Ventriloquist sing: get out of bed sleepyhead go to work instead...
Ventriloquist character sing: I don't want to go to work it makes my tummy hurt....
Ventriloquist sing: sleepyhead get out of bed instead then go to school you'll learn the golden rule...
Ventriloquist character sing: I don't want to go to school I want to make my own rule....
Ventriloquist sing: instead of resting your head get out of bed you have plenty to look forward for...
Ventriloquist character sing: tell me more tell me more what do I have to look forward for...
Ventriloquist sing: repainting the door, the lawn mower, the grocerie store...
Ventriloquist character sing: chores chores chores no more chores...
Ventriloquist sing: sleepyhead tell me the truth what will you do if I turn off the light...
Ventriloquist character sing: if you turn off the light I would say nighty nighty don't let the termites bite and good NIGHT!!

we just want some where we can run and hideaway momentary, so we run to our little friends Lester! Charlie McCarthy! June bug! peanut! lamb chop! Otto and George! Sammy figment the third! and so many more! To escape to a imaginary world called the art of ventriloquism.

Unfortunately us human beings are just a bag of emotions, some people are sensitive, what is sensitive? sensitive meaning emotionally hurt πŸ€• easily, a word can traumatize a sensitive person or taking something said the wrong way or a slight misunderstanding can send some people on a rampage... when you are on stage you are the center of the universe you have every person eyes and ears and between those eyes and ears is a brain that brain tells the soul how to think and feel keep that in mind when writing your scripts.

You can win a audience soul by touching their soul with a emotional song or story. keep that note in your back pocket.

Some song writers know how to write a successful song because they know the words to use to connect with emotions..a person might forget your name but they will never forget how you made them feel..I am sorry to tell you but being a entertainer has it's dark moments with some audiences, you may encounter some strange experiences in your show business career so keep them in your file cabinet in a black file with Lock and key, yes save All the gossip and dark secrets stories for your retirement years!

Your audience is your Ventriloquist history-- history, you are making memories.. I remember working at a real job in the real world and a school director visiting the facility remember my Ventriloquist act in my younger years, she asked me if I work tomorrow I said yes, so she returned the next day,she handed me a large yellow envelope and said to me I have been wanting to give this to you for many years she walked away to drive away in a Mercedes Benz, all the employees gathered around me wondering what was in the large yellow envelope my boss was standing near by with his hands on his hips not very happy telling me that he's "going to get me" also telling the other employees to get back to work but we continue to gathered around to open the big yellow envelope, most of the workers thought it was a envelope full of money, inpatient we gather saying what is it? open it? I opened the yellow envelope, I slide out a certificate, certificate from the los Angeles county of California school board thanking me for entertainment of the performing arts, in my youth days my Ventriloquist act did school shows so as you can see your audience will always remember you even for good or bad your Ventriloquist act is for ever written in the hearts and minds of the audience.

I don't want you to change your style after this class..I want to explain to you and I would like for you to understand the audience.. keep your style the way you want it to be this class is only a briefing on the subject of the audience, not for you to change anything about your Ventriloquist career but if you want to make changes it's up to you but this class is just for information or taking notes.

I made this class for beginner Ventriloquists because when I was a beginner Ventriloquist I wish I had information about the subject of the audience but I had to learn about the audience as I gained stage experience so now here is a true class on the subject of being a Ventriloquist entertainer.. Ventriloquist online or on stage..a audience can be one person.. a author write a book the book might sit on the shelf for many years then someone open the book to read, the reader is the audience for the author same with your Ventriloquism, you might entertain online for many or for none it doesn't matter just as long as you keep creating your art in the art of ventriloquism is the only thing that matters, you never know who's in your audience... Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen used to make shorts, shorts were like YouTube videos to us today when Edgar Bergen was a young Ventriloquist, his manager told him not to make shorts/short films, but Edgar Bergen secretly made shorts he never thought anyone would see them he was enjoying making them with Charlie McCarthy well believe it or not people were watching his shorts and what is funny is that Edgar Bergen had no idea that he had an audience for his short films, those shorts were working something like self-promotion but Edgar Bergen had no clue of that...so what do we learn here, we learn enjoy the art of ventriloquism so that others can experience it.

You may need to find your own Lane to find a audience, this means we had radio Ventriloquists, television Ventriloquists, comedy clubs Ventriloquists, children entertainment Ventriloquists so let's take a look at Ventriloquist Otto and George, Otto and George started out as street performers then went into the comedy clubs then found a audience in pornstar world this means the audience for the pornstars Otto and George took the art of ventriloquism to that audience, so finding your own path that no one is on will give you growth with an audience, I don't think I ever seen a Ventriloquist comedy act in the porn industry besides Otto and George, and trust me Otto and George is rated X, so the script is definitely for that particular audience so maybe you can plant your seeds in the coffee shops just for an example, your Ventriloquist act take on the coffee lovers and drinkers, you build around anything and everything coffee, Ventriloquist Jimmy Nelson and Danny O'Day was sponsored by Nestle's and a spokesman for Texaco so who knows where a road will lead..if you have a neighborhood youth center see if you can be regular entertainment or some type of school program that you can participate in with providing your Ventriloquism so what you are doing is "REGULAR" this is permanently or long-term meaning you and your Ventriloquist character will be part of the youth center every day, every week, every month, become regular entertainment at a location will help  establish your audience because of word of mouth, people might hear about your Ventriloquist act then travel miles to see it and they may return to see it again and again because you are regular, then they will tell a friend then that friend tell another person.. you must understand people live in the real world sometimes they might be planning to see your Ventriloquist act in the future so just keep being available, sometimes people wait for your next post on social media just because they don't leave a comment don't mean they're not there, sometimes listeners of a podcast or radio show can't wait to be entertained by the host and the host has no idea if anyone is listening to the sound of their voice and that's the same way you need to think... your audience is not your audience..
you are a Ventriloquist, you are entertainment
What does that mean..it means you are an artist in the art of ventriloquism that is for amusement, this means if I go to watch your YouTube video channel I am sitting in the audience..if I listen to your Ventriloquist act podcast this means I am the audience, if I watch a DVD today that you made of your Ventriloquist act twenty years ago this means I am a audience member.

some beginner Ventriloquists may want to know why audience members ask for an artist autograph so here I explain.. when my Ventriloquist act was part of a band of musicians my manager get my Ventriloquist act a gig hosting a children fashion show, in Inglewood California it was fun because Sammy my main Ventriloquist character could free style after I did the serious lines on the cards, but to make a long story LONGER, at the end of the show while packing up to leave the event my Ventriloquist character trunk was open, inside Sammy Ventriloquist trunk there were personal pictures of Sammy, theses pictures were like comfort food to my soul during traveling from show to show, a brother and sister from the fashion show came to say goodbye, they looked inside Sammy Ventriloquist truck to look at the pictures, the two siblings asked if they could keep one of the pictures, I said two the two siblings those pictures are not for give aways those are personal pictures of mine, but they keep looking at the photos, they both said we really like Sammy he was funny and cute, I said okay okay you can each have a photo, the two siblings jumped for joy, they asked me to autograph the photos, I am thinking to myself I am not some big movie star, so I said my autograph? The two siblings said yes please! please! I said what do you want me to write on the photos, they told me their names it was so long ago I don't remember today so I wrote on each photos to: their names nice meeting you at the Inglewood California children fashion show, the date, from Sammy. A autograph from a artist to someone is a proof of a personal event, sometimes famous people will autograph something like a coffee cup this is proof that the artist and coffee cup has connected..the two siblings wanted to remember that moment in time because maybe it was the happiest time of there young lives.

Some Ventriloquists may want to know something about aggressive audience members so I will tell you the truth, I have been called names, I have been stalked, rumors have been created about me personally by audience members, my mother didn't want me doing the art of ventriloquism, but I didn't want to be carried by six or judged by twelve when I was a kid so me growing up poor the art of ventriloquism saved my life it gave me something I could do besides what all my friends were doing such as getting into trouble.. when you have a aggressive fan or audience member I congratulate you.. I was chased home during my middle school years by a mob of ghetto kids because of my Ventriloquist character and when I made it home safely I looked at my Ventriloquist character and said "you're a Ventriloquist doll"
so during my middle school years I began to watch this Ventriloquist doll grow up and it's been very entertaining for me, yes for me, my main Ventriloquist character has shaken up the most high in education, my main Ventriloquist character has went toe to toe with a world famous stand-up comedian, my main Ventriloquist character has met and also was physically touched by Frederick k.c. price owner of the Faith dome, my main Ventriloquist character has met and performed with top entertainers, so you dealing with aggressive audience members are for you to keep your mouth shut and let the magic work, magic work?  let the magic work meaning our ancestors ventriloquist priesthood once ruled the world with religion when I was chased home in middle school by a mob of ghetto kids because of me owning a Ventriloquist doll I had no clue of the power of the art of ventriloquism..I have seen pro Ventriloquists take apart the Ventriloquist character in front of a audience I say what are you doing? Let them believe what they believe and if they want to know "knowledge" how you do something let them pay for the knowledge..me being chased home in middle school because of a seemingly talking doll has taken me far far places that I could have dreamed of... you tell that aggressive audience member what Sarah palin told a aggressive guy at a book signing for her fans " look at me and look at you, you're over there and I am over here"... haters hate that's what they do so we create the emotion of  "envy".. in highschool I had well known gang members puzzled by a Ventriloquist doll, as a teenager I had neighborhood drug dealers wanting me to teach them the art of ventriloquism.. learn to keep your mouth shut you are a Ventriloquist you are an illusionist, if your audience throw tomatoes at your Ventriloquist act while you are on stage stay in character why? because you are an illusionist, not understanding.. okay.. it's like a song that makes someone cry, your audience throwing tomato πŸ… at your Ventriloquist act is a emotional response but wait theres more go back a few sentences where I said "you're a Ventriloquist doll" then read where that lead my Ventriloquist career, I mean just imagine if I would have said "you are trash πŸ—‘️" but I became open minded and begin to let the cavemen entertain me as our ancestor priesthood Ventriloquists once did, if you're going to pay fifty dollars for a ticket then at the end of my Ventriloquist act I take my Ventriloquist character apart then shame on me for taking your escape from reality away..
a famous female Ventriloquist was dancing on stage with two of her Ventriloquist characters it is recorded the famous ventriloquist said the audience thought that she was on stage dancing with real people even she herself sounded πŸ€” puzzling so yes the art of ventriloquism is powerful step back and let it work it's magic with the audience.

Many many years ago a mother sued Disneyland because her children was traumatized by seeing Mickey mouse with out his head on.. keep in mind that your children audiences may believe in your illusions automatically. I can't tell you how to run your Ventriloquist career so keep in mind if you're going to be a children entertainer or family and friends audiences entertainer or church audience entertainer be careful of your script writing.

I need to also remind you about the audience, in the audience you might develop groupies yes Ventriloquists do have groupies, I believe all artists have groupies..I had to learn the difficult way don't touch your groupies but be very nice to your groupies please do not take advantage of any audience members that are fascinated by your Ventriloquist career, if someone is a fan of your Ventriloquist act be very thankful remember that human beings are a bag of emotions, realize you have brought them an escape from reality momentary so theses types of audience members are very greatful for your Ventriloquist act, again I can't tell you how to run your Ventriloquist career but maybe you may encounter groupies of your Ventriloquist career like I did and my advice is don't misunderstand the behavior of the audience members, such as fans and groupies, theses audience members trust you very much, trust me they do, remember to always separate reality from make believe, for example you are sitting in class when someone begins waving hello to you with a friendly smile how you respond is up to you but you must remember your art is for ever in the audience hearts and minds so just because you have not been performing with Ventriloquism for many years does not mean your Ventriloquist act has not been performing for the audience. There's old songs that were created twenty years ago that people still listen to today, I still watch Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy movies today..so the person waving at you with a smile in the classroom could have seen your Ventriloquist act somewhere, sometime, someplace.. being in show business is for ever recognition so if you're a private person I suggest that you realize some of your audience members might make you feel uneasy but I must remind you again human beings are a bag of emotions so when they see a entertainer or performer off stage it's a surprise to their soul, here's a true story, I was performing my Ventriloquist act in comedy clubs, one night at the end of my Ventriloquist act I exit the stage and I couldn't believe who was in the audience watching my Ventriloquist act on stage, I have met famous people plenty of times during my Ventriloquist career but I couldn't believe my eyes, this person was my freedom of speech stand up comedian "IDOL" as I am walking from the stage I almost stumbled to fall down carrying my Ventriloquist character at the same time, there he was just sitting in the audience, I just wanted to make sure it was really him I said "Paul Mooney?" he said "yes" I was speechless can you imagine that a speechless Ventriloquist so I get control of my emotions I said "it's nice to meet you", he smiled and said "nice meeting you too" WOW! my favorite freedom of speech stand up comedian!!!! so as you can see by my actions as a fan on the other side of the coin, I never thought in a million years my idol stand-up comedian seeing my Ventriloquist act on stage or even seeing in person.. your audience and your art are not you, this is why when it comes to the audience keep your mouth shut let the audience enjoy your art... sorry, to tell you the truth but you're a Ventriloquist that means you are a illusionist in the field of entertainment meaning nothing you create is real so keep that a secret and don't tell your audience.. children are venerable, groupies are trustworthy of the artists and fans are loyal, I can't tell you how to run your Ventriloquist career but this is a warning never never never never ever as a ventriloquist cross the line into reality with your audience...as a ventriloquist act you will effect each person differently so keep that in mind, you may not think you yourself being a Ventriloquist is serious but if you don't change that way of thinking you might create a situation with an audience that is real and no longer an illusion, that means you're no longer in the art of ventriloquism or an artist.

When I was a night club entertainer with my Ventriloquist act, the audience look at entertainers as super stars, they see the names in lights, they see the photos all over the night club, they see the entertainer up on stage, so remember I mentioned we create the emotion of "envy" yes as a entertainer you are a spoiled brat! popular! admired! so on, so your audience see the "show" meaning popular, the fame, the glitter, the lights, in better words "the fantasy" so some audience members may buy a night club entertainer free drinks all night or pay a five hundred dollars to take a photo with them, yes I have seen many night club entertainer paid by audience members for photo with them, and yes some audience members rent a table next to stage to get a seat close to the entertainer..I have some personal experiences during my night club Ventriloquist act career and those experiences are lessons learned with audience members and I hope you can read between the lines so please remember not to cross the line between illusion and reality, again we create the illusion of "envy" and that's what the audience see, you know how much work and study it takes to be a Ventriloquist but the audience doesn't see that part, the audience see the complete finished cake, not the baking of the cake...
As a entertainer give the audience what they want and that's a escape from reality momentary..a laugh, a song, a thrill,  a adventure, a trip to an imaginary world with the art of ventriloquism..

I have a photo in this school of Charlie McCarthy with Marilyn Monroe, during that time of the photo Marilyn Monroe was going to marry Charlie McCarthy, miss Monroe was going to become Mrs. mccarthy, believe it or not this was big news nation wide, audience members truly believed Marilyn Monroe was going to marry Charlie McCarthy talk about Edgar Bergen creating even more illusion of "envy".... acting is pretending that's why it's called Ventriloquist act, Marilyn Monroe is a actress and Charlie McCarthy a Ventriloquist character entertaining audiences imagination.
it's a illusion of "envy" that Marilyn Monroe wants to marry Charlie McCarthy, it's on the front page news! it's all over radio broadcast during that time, and Edgar Bergen knew not to step on the audience toes during the "envy" illusion ...I mean sure if the Ventriloquist character is getting more attention than the Ventriloquist that could happen sometimes but let me explain here, that is what the art of ventriloquism is all about, yes, the audiences are supposed to pay attention away from the actual source, your Ventriloquist character is supposed to get all or most of the attention and you are there as an authority figure role to guide Ventriloquist character in the right direction unless the script is written a different way....
in other words the Ventriloquist character is also misdirection...
there's a famous ventriloquist joke where the Ventriloquist character is on stage telling blonde jokes so a blonde yells from the audience stop telling blonde jokes or I will rip you inhalf so the Ventriloquist says to the blonde I am very sorry I didn't mean any harm the blonde says to the Ventriloquist I am not talking about you I am talking about that little guy sitting next to you... Let your Ventriloquist character enjoy life, I mean "the illusion of life" and let your audience enjoy the escape from reality momentary that you create for them with your art of ventriloquism and you my friend will dance in the moonlight with the stars.
