I wanted to be a night club entertainer, not a comedy club entertainer or a children entertainer, I did live my dreams of performing as a night club entertainer, I missed the singers and the live band of musicians when I advanced as the comedy club entertainer, I started out as a children entertainer I made a lot of money performing as a children entertainer but that's all it was just money, bookings every where everyday, my phone never stopped ringing during my children entertainer career, I seen that being a children entertainer was a permanent position and very public and you really had to be an angel 😇 in private and public, my production company cut out the children shows and cancelled all children shows bookings, I focus on night clubs my production company went dark so I can join a management company with a band of musicians, my production company made more money than the management company but I counted my losses to further my career as a night club entertainer after I resigned from the management company and band of musicians, I begin a Ventriloquist career in the comedy club entertainer business and that was a whole new experience.

Here we learn that during your time as a ventriloquist entertainer you will go through many different types of audiences.. I will tell you the truth, all my changes was the nature of the beast, meaning growth..sure you can stay a children entertainer for all your Ventriloquist career...sure you can stay a comedy club entertainer all your career but realize that you will need to reinvent yourself to stay in business and here is the secret to staying in show business...all audiences are generational.. you need to know what a decade is, if you are a children entertainer your future is based on babies, babies are your future audiences so if there's no babies than there is no future audiences for your Ventriloquist act profitable shows...if you are a comedy club entertainer your future is depending on the economy, when the economy is good people are happy and they want to laugh with entertainment but remember there is no audience for the comedy clubs only with fans and if your Ventriloquist act is popular and the economy is good then you can do good.. Let's do the math here a decade is ten years and a generation is forty years that means you need to reinvent Ventriloquist career four times to have a long successful Ventriloquist career... what happens during a generation with your audiences, we take a look here: preschool, headstart, elementary school graduation, middle school graduation, highschool graduation, college graduation, corporate, retirement.. this means graduations and education with the workforce 5- 25/62  and then retirement.... at age 62 a new cycle begins with a new generation, a children entertainer loses a audience member at age 18, the comedy club entertainer would mostly target single unmarried audience members and college students audience members.. most married people are night club audience members, so this is a rough estimate but should be studied with a open mind.. birthday parties are a better future audience because theses shows are for all ages and there's a birthday everyday, no birthday shows are not only for children shows adults also book entertainment for their birthday party.

Reinventing your Ventriloquist act every ten years is going to be a must because of the changes in society, what was trending is no longer the big deal.. don't forget politics will also be a big concern for your Ventriloquist career so remember every four years there will be an election.. and yes political parties can effect your audiences.

We learn as beginner Ventriloquists in this class to prepare for the future so that we have a long Ventriloquist career... reinventing yourself may mean creating a new Ventriloquist character, change of fashion, totally different script writing for your Ventriloquist act. 

When I was in fifth grade my production company was a manual script production company, my fifth grade teacher taught me how to write ✍️ not "write" I mean truly opening my third eye to a new world, in middle school about seventh grade my production company was one hundred percent a Ventriloquial with manual script production company..in elementary school I dreamed of being a night club entertainer with my manual script productions but I was too young for night clubs when I accidentally discovered the art ventriloquism my production company exploded with a wide eye 👁️ vision that helped started my dream career as a night club Ventriloquist entertainer, as time went on the real world begin to change so reinventing yourself became part of a entertainers career and my production company was always looking down the road ahead.... the comedy club entertainer career was "the rat race" so my production company brain storming on winning "the rat race" during this time my production company take a detour of "the rat race" on to the superhighway finding it's final destination. 

Sometimes a Ventriloquist may not understand why they can't get their Ventriloquist act together.. some Ventriloquists quit the art of ventriloquism because they get bored or confused, I tell you the truth here the answer: you see a Ventriloquist Terry fator on television and then you buy a Ventriloquist puppet with a lesson in how to speak with out moving your lips, two days later you see a ballet dancer on television now you're enrolled in ballet dance class be careful with your silent insults to an artist such as Terry fator or a ballet dancer on television they will definitely give you the sideeye ..The art of ventriloquism is a craft, being a Ventriloquist is a profession and pretty much a marriage..so if you are not committed to the dedication of the growth of the art of ventriloquism then it's not for you.. some beginner Ventriloquists get confused about a Ventriloquist act, I will explain here: once you master lip control and the illusion of life of the Ventriloquist character, you need a script, now the Ventriloquist character and the Ventriloquist practice practice and rehearsal rehearsal until the script is second nature, now this script is memorized by the Ventriloquist then it is timed, it should be timed for Three minutes, the last time I checked my show auditioning interviews were three minutes so we create a demo act from one to three minutes in theses scripts are short jokes or short songs or short bits and skits, next we edit the script, editing is putting what you are going to do in order, this means jokes first then song second or song first and jokes second or all jokes such as first joke about cats then second joke about my little cousin third joke about my teacher and so on, after you edit the script, this script becomes a dialogue that some people call a routine,why because it's a dialogue repeating over over over, a Ventriloquist dialogue is two people carrying on a pretend conversation, this routine is not a Ventriloquist act it's a Ventriloquist dialogue or a comedy routine or same songs singing over over from memory and yes this one to Three minutes routine should have a title..now that you have a Ventriloquist dialogue you are ready to perform but WAIT! there's more! another reason Ventriloquists quit being in the art of Ventriloquism is because they run out of gasoline so this school is here to give you the fuel ⛽ to create your Ventriloquist act..so now that you have your Ventriloquist routine together you need to put a your Ventriloquist act together, this will explain everything to you about being a Ventriloquist, a Ventriloquist act is a ACT, a Ventriloquist is a illusionist, the Ventriloquist character is a actor in old words a dummy, the definition of a dummy is taking the place of another or copy of a original.. 

the Ventriloquist character and a Ventriloquist carry on a pretend conversation this is called a dialogue, a dialogue is written by the Ventriloquist but at first before it becomes a dialogue it is written in to a script the script then is edited by the Ventriloquist for one to three or very short minutes no more than five no less than one minute averaging one to three minutes... after the first routine is titled and memorized by the Ventriloquist the first demo/routine is completed.. a Ventriloquist routine is not a Ventriloquist act, a Ventriloquist act is many Ventriloquist routines combined to run up to 45 minutes to an hour...a Ventriloquist act is for show business, a Ventriloquist routine is for family and friends or a talent show or demo shows but if you're going to perform a professional show meaning that you are going to be booked for show bookings then you need a Ventriloquist act and yes once you put a Ventriloquist act together you can keep the same Ventriloquist act for the rest of your Ventriloquist career but I suggest that you have many many Ventriloquist acts this way you never run out of ⛽ fuel.. your Ventriloquist act can be introducing other Ventriloquist characters, I mean some Ventriloquists get afraid of a Ventriloquist act because it's up to a hour on stage, so if you are not easy with being on stage in front of an audience for 45 minutes to an hour then write a script that you are comfortable with like sing songs that "you" enjoy, talk about topics in your scripts that "you" want to discuss or talk about, tell jokes from joke books if you're not good at writing your own jokes, you can also create time fillers for your Ventriloquist routine to bring it up to a complete Ventriloquist act.. but you say I am frustrated with all this I just want to be a Ventriloquist!! okay here's the problem with that ventriloquism is a art and let me be clear an "ancient art" but this school is the tree of good and evil, here are some answers to ease your frustrations of the art of ventriloquism: your Ventriloquist act is a script and a easy simple act is nothing created by you "the artist" but created by other artists, so fill your scripts with meaningless chit chats, tell jokes from old vintage joke books, research old nursery rhymes to use, audience participation games as time fillers which is definitely cheating as an artist but we play to win, fill your scripts with storytelling with your Ventriloquist character, yes reading a story to your Ventriloquist character while audience members listen should not be a frustrating situation for you all I ask is please be entertaining for your audience.. I once had a storytelling Ventriloquist act that was very successful because my main Ventriloquist character would add comedy while I read the story, I think maybe create a simple short storytelling Ventriloquist act if you want a Ventriloquist act that's not frustrating for you would be good simple and easy when I say short stories I mean a book that takes about five to ten minutes to read out loud so maybe add three to four short story books to your scripts...

my storytelling Ventriloquist act was about four short fairytales stories such as SNOW WHITE, THE THREE LITTLE PIGS, MOTHER GOOSE, JACK AND JILL, that I rehearse with my main Ventriloquist character, during rehearsal I would let my Ventriloquist character respond to my lines with unscripted lines.. when performing my Ventriloquist storytelling act in front of an audience it was always fresh and new because I didn't know what my Ventriloquist character would do or say.. 

There's another comedy bit or comedy skit I used in my Ventriloquist act that the audience enjoyed it was called yo momma jokes, my Ventriloquist character and I did a yo momma joke battle against each other.. this should help ease some frustration for you and your Ventriloquist act because yo momma jokes between you and your partner will be a simple routine to perform.

There's many books on the market such as poetry, jokes, songs that you can purchase that will give you material to write ✍️ in your scripts then all you need to do is memorize and practice with your Ventriloquist character.

When you buy a joke book, read a  joke that you like, write that joke on paper then you write your lines ask question then your  Ventriloquist character lines as the answer for example: joke book: Q: why do cows wear bells?..

A: because their horns don't work..

Ventriloquist character: everybody knows why cows wear bells...

Ventriloquist: is that so?..

Ventriloquist character: yes...

Ventriloquist: well I must be the only person that have no idea why cows wear bells, can you tell me why cows wear bells?...

Ventriloquist character: because their horns don't work DUMMY!...

As you can see the joke from the joke book was rewritten into a Ventriloquist script because of not being only jokes jokes jokes but because of dialogue purposes, remember that a Ventriloquist dialogue is "carrying on a pretend conversation" so the joke was written in to a conversation but yes you can just tell jokes from a joke book with your Ventriloquist character but that wouldn't be a Ventriloquist act or a Ventriloquist routine that would be a Ventriloquist comedy skit or bit and that might be a more simple routine than actually a artist of the art of ventriloquism..so as we see the tree of good and evil there's many ways of creativity.. frustrating situation teach us what works and what do not work and the easy way has it's lessons also,I have provided answers to both sides that you can choose to use..I think they are helpful.

I tell you the truth being a Ventriloquist is not a business for dummies, you are constantly learning and creating so there is no easy way in the art of ventriloquism even cheating has it's consequences but I can not tell you how to run your Ventriloquist career I can only give you the tree of good and evil so that you have the free will in the way to grow.
