I performed in comedy clubs and comedians would always ask me about Otto and George because they think all Ventriloquists know each other.

My first introduction to Ventriloquist Otto and George was a VHS 📼 cassette video called "the dirty dozen" watching this Ventriloquist act on video had me thinking that this was a Ventriloquist for the filming but I learned that Otto and George was a real Ventriloquist act, I became a fan instantly cheering for this loud mouth in your face comedian, I was like YEAH! this is what the art of ventriloquism need right now! Otto and George was GANGSTA! George was out of control and his Ventriloquist was sweating bullets!! the Ventriloquist is the authority figure but the Ventriloquist character is the one in charge.. I listen to show business interviews where the interviewer is commenting on the Otto and George Ventriloquist act but they can't stop laughing because the Ventriloquist script is so funny, wait...let me explain the script, the Ventriloquist is the authority figure we all know that but in this script the Ventriloquist can't get the Ventriloquist character to behave correctly, the Ventriloquist can't believe what the Ventriloquist character is saying so the Ventriloquist stand nervously next to his loud my mouth friend.. I watched the show when Otto and George host some kind of award show for playboy or pron-star awards anyway George  insults the WINNERS!! I laughed and laughed my stomach hurt, you are the host you don't insult the 🏆 award winners but George do.

I witnessed Otto saying he stop being a street performer because he wanted to go into the comedy clubs.

I witnessed Otto saying the reason he became x-rated material is because when he went into the comedy clubs he had to compete with the stand up comedians..same thing for me, I am a night club entertainer so when I went to perform in comedy clubs as a Ventriloquist act it was a totally different experience, I had to reinvent my Ventriloquist act, yes being a night club Ventriloquist act is different from being a comedian Ventriloquist act.

I have witnessed Otto saying comedian George Carlin is his favorite comedian.

I have witnessed Otto and George going from comedy club entertainer to children audience entertainer, when I seen Otto and George performing for children audiences I scratched my head 🤔... I said there you go changing the image again, sure reinventing yourself is a normal process in the growth of show business but going from adult entertainer to children entertainer is going in a different direction for a stand up comedian Ventriloquist act or a standup comedy comedian let's take a look at comedian Eddie Murphy, Eddie Murphy was a rated -R material comedian that said "he wants to make movies that his children can watch now that he's married with children" after that Eddie Murphy show business career begin to change and not for the better... As we learn here it's not about us the entertainer it's about us the artist this means your audience and fans don't like the bait and switch show business tactics I have written on that subject many times.. what's the issue between Otto and Eddie, well, Eddie Murphy is rated -R that might can move down to a rated-PG but Otto and George is x-rated and that is a big issue.. what we are learning here is you are a artist and what you create your audience become apart of. 

I tell you the truth I was sitting in the passenger seat enjoying the ride of the Otto and George Ventriloquist act career until one day the vehicle stopped, I said go! go! go! keep driving! I looked over at the driver seat and said WTH, you got to be kidding me. 

comedian Standup comedy combine with the art of ventriloquism is just like a singer combining the art of Ventriloquism can lead to a more lucrative show business career. 

If you choose to be a comedy club entertainer with a Ventriloquist act I need to let you know that it's a very competitive market.. 

a ventriloquist usually doesn't need a agent but if you decide that you really really really want to be a Ventriloquist in the stand up comedy business I don't recommend agent but will suggest that you have a agent for your stand up Ventriloquist comedian career.. can you be a comedy club Ventriloquist act with out an agent? the answer is yes.. 

Being a successful Ventriloquist act in the comedy clubs is all about your material and script writing.. the comedy club entertainer business is answering the question can you make money for the club owner? or can you put butts in the seats and feets at door?..if you can do that then the club owner and managers will like you..the goal of some comedy clubs is selling drinks, when people laugh they get thirsty...if you want to be a comedy club Ventriloquist act you need to start working on your college students audience, most comedy clubs are age 21 and older to enter, most comedy clubs serve beer and wine.. comedy clubs audience members are mostly single unmarried people... you need to work on building a following or a fan base before arriving at a comedy club career.. a comedy club entertainer career is based on popularity and fans...this means you need to do a lot of self-promotion or have a role in a movie or go viral on social media before you arrive in the comedy clubs business world..

The comedy clubs need you to have an audience, the comedy clubs need you to have a name brand or a Ventriloquist act that people will buy tickets for.. some comedy clubs have open mic during open mic the owner and managers of the comedy clubs are watching for something, something that they can use for entertainment, something they can make a profit from, they also have promotors visit the club, they also have talent scouts visit the club, they also have talent agents visit the comedy clubs, they also have show business managers visit the comedy clubs... My advice from my experience if you want to be in the comedy clubs with your Ventriloquist act, find a open mic, follow the open mic rules be on time, don't fight with the stand up comedians because they will for sure look at you as well let say different, I had a famous comedian say to me when I came off stage with my Ventriloquist act she touched my main Ventriloquist character hand then touched his face then poked out her bottom lip and said "I don't have a dummy"... 

Keep writing and keep creating then one  open mic night will change the rest of your Ventriloquist career..I remember going to Tuesday open mic meeting the owner of the laugh factor when I was exiting the comedy club front door he greeted me with saying to me "come back on Wednesday nights I am putting you on Wednesday nights"

working the comedy clubs circuit was a lot of work and meeting many people, understand I have my own production company so I felt as if I was working four jobs at the same time.. there's many promotors that are looking to make deals with you, in the comedy clubs there's always someone handing you their business cards, yes you never know who's watching your Ventriloquist act in the audience so always be ready for the unexpected, once you get your stuff together and the comedy clubs see that you are ready for the next level they will for sure approach you with deals and offers and invites.

I want to warn you that the comedy comedian business is not a joke.. the best thing for you to do is prepare before you go into the comedy clubs.. build a following... get your name out there..get a audience I suggest college students audience..plant a seed at a comedy club open mic, I must mention owners and managers of comedy clubs want you to show up for open mic because it helps them find new entertainers, open mic is like auditioning or interviews or growing on stage with the club, trust me the club management team are watching your Ventriloquist act improvements... should you approach the comedy clubs management and owners about a gig the answer is they know why you are there performing on stage and I can't tell you how to run your Ventriloquist career so that decision is up to you... When I was a night club entertainer my manager grabbed me very quickly and put me in his band of musicians, I say you are the entertainer that means you are the product, agents and managers and club owners are in the business of making money and that means they need a product to sell... your job is to provide a product that they can make a profit with.

I enjoy Ventriloquist artists that can do what I can't do and I don't think I could be a Otto and George Ventriloquist act because it's just too outrageous just like a Jim Carrey movie before he changed his image... I have watched television news reporters trying to seriously comment on the Otto and George Ventriloquist act and you know what's funny just the thought of the Otto and George Ventriloquist act make the professionals and the educated laugh out loud. 

No matter how many times I watched the same comedy routine of Otto and George I can't stop laughing, in away I feel sorry for the character in the script standing next to the loud mouth friend. 

I think some audience members understand the script so us bystanders are asking the authority figure to get his friend under control and that's where the comedy kicks in watching the authority figure standing there, I get it, and it's genius.

I have met many famous entertainers but meeting you and Edgar Bergen would have been awesome for me..I am a writer and until my last drop of ink I will remember to write your name, you will not be forgotten.

I am a comedy writer but I only dream to write the outrageously funny content of yours.

Otto and George On the Howard Stern radio show Howard said that Otto needed a better looking Ventriloquist figure/puppet/ Ventriloquist character.. Otto soon changed the image of George..I liked the image of the Ventriloquist act before because it give the act a original appeal and a more rebel style because that's what the act was all about  after the change of George image it was not the same show anymore, I was still a fan of Otto and George but it just wasn't the same anymore.

The story of a teenage street performer is the highlight of Otto and George show business career. The Otto and George before the image change will always be dear to my heart and speaking on changing images, Otto is on record praising his new George image, my old show business manager said many times less is more and sometimes simple is better.

The new image of George was a more upgraded expensive Ventriloquist figure keep in mind expensive Ventriloquist figures has nothing to do with your Ventriloquist career just take a look at shari Lewis Ventriloquist career and Jay Marshall career not to say that it's anything wrong with using expensive Ventriloquist figures or top of the line Ventriloquist figures what I am saying if a Ventriloquist character image is working if it's not broke don't fix it.. 

believe it or not audience members become to recognize a image and they begin to get to know the image as a friend or something like that, for example if you go to a market everyday you get to know the cashier then one day you walk in there's some one different well it will for sure adjust your thoughts.. as you will see for yourself here the before and after images of George. 

I understand the upgrades of a Ventriloquist character but do you need to change the complete image, Edgar Bergen had six Charlie McCarthy but he never changed the image of Charlie McCarthy, like those famous actors and actress that have plastic surgery done some of their fans say why did you do that we love you the way you were before.. so keep that in mind about completely changing your Ventriloquist act image.. some Ventriloquists instead of changing a image of their Ventriloquist character they create a new Ventriloquist character this way the audience can start fresh.

Otto and George is a 'started from the bottom' success story.. I am a witness and proud to witness the rise of success for this Ventriloquist act.. Otto was brave to be a rebel in the art of ventriloquism.. and it takes courage to stand next to a Ventriloquist character like George.. in a world of cancel culture and in a world where freedom of speech stand up comedian are in none existent your loud mouth partner has done a excellent job in the entertainment business.
