The Ventriloquist character says knock knock as if knocking at the front door then the Ventriloquist says who's there and then the Ventriloquist character says setup line to the pun then the Ventriloquist has the question line then the Ventriloquist character answers with the punchline... the punchline connect to the pun word.... Ventriloquist: panther who?... Ventriloquist character: my pant-her falling down!..a panther is a large cat like a 🐅 or a lion 🦁..so your Ventriloquist character will say "panther" in the first setup line, then the Ventriloquist will say "panther" who?, then the Ventriloquist character will word play with the word "panther" toying with the word and pronunciation, my "PANT-ER, FALLING DOWN"...pant-her..my pants are falling down..

I wrote a hit knock knock joke during my highschool years that was 💯 with all audiences..here I give it to you.

Ventriloquist: knock knock...
Ventriloquist character: who's there?...
Ventriloquist: the POLICE!.....
(Ventriloquist character silently look to left and look to right)...
Ventriloquist: knock knock.. knock knock.. knock knock...
(Ventriloquist character: looking around as in looking for some where to hide while the Ventriloquist continues to say "knock knock" when the Ventriloquist character try to escape Ventriloquist grab the Ventriloquist character to sit them back down both Ventriloquist and Ventriloquist character laugh at kidding around with the knock knock joke)...
Everyone in the audience knows that the next line after "the police!" Is the line "police who?" and that is the joke, after hearing the police is knocking at the door the Ventriloquist character try to run to hide from the police.

We learn about the audience  Let's start by saying just because you don't have forty million followers on social media doesn't mean you don't have an audience so keep doing your Ventriloquist act online if that's where you feel comfortable performing your Ventriloquist act...if you feel comfortable performing live on stage then get your Ventriloquist act on stage..I enjoyed performing live on stage but when real life started to become a reality I refused to give up on my dreams, I worked on how can I live my dreams of being a Ventriloquist and living in the real world, as we study this lesson we will see that audiences are made with different people looking for an escape from reality.
