avoiding character development is Creative writing but Creative writing might develop a unseen character but this would be a fictional character not quite with a body such as a Ventriloquist dummy or puppet.. now the thing about creative writing is that a very skilled actor can create character development then bring that is written to life.
it is wise that you get comfortable with the public judgement, if you have thick skin you will do well as a Ventriloquist, as a middle school teenage Ventriloquist my Ventriloquist character sent the school bully home crying and when the school bully catches me with out my Ventriloquist character he said to me "it's because of your puppet everyone is laughing at me! you made a fool of me!!" and the school bully was never seen at our school again, true story...get used to some people looking at you as being different and get used to people trying to understand your art... get used to people nose 👃 in your private life, yes being a Ventriloquist give some people weird thoughts about you such as a Ventriloquist sleeping upside down, but the most freaky situation for me was having ventriloquism groupies in highschool, yes groupies in highschool, my highschool sweetheart and her friends found out the human tongue was a muscle and being a Ventriloquist that muscle get plenty of exercise so yes in high school I was chased home by groupies too!
You and your creations are going to impact the human minds with sound and sight, your creature will live for ever in the human brains and hearts 🗣️ 👁️ 🧠 👁️ 👂
Some people will love you as a Ventriloquist and some people will love your creations but it can also be the opposite. understand that you are going to make history with the art of ventriloquism, understand that your creation may out live you so make note of that because your legacy will be left behind.. be careful who "YOU" wish for... that wish might become true life. Just as Edgar Bergen and the god of the universe cry for their creatures so might you but no matter the outcome the Creators loved their creatures.
It doesn't matter if you're famous or not in the art of ventriloquism your creations will be a part of the art big or small you count.
