ROLE PLAY ( PLAYING A ROLL) πŸ“œ πŸͺ†πŸŽŽπŸŽŽπŸŽŽ ✍️ πŸ“œπŸ“œ

writing your lines is going to be a process..playing a part in a act that you wrote is a process.. the lines that you wrote will be a pretend conversation that you have with a character that you create to play a part in your act.

SUBJECT: the topic

SETUP LINE: set up lines are words or sentences that lead to the punchline or lead to make the audience laugh...

PUNCHLINE: the punchline is something said or done for laughter... usually the punchlines are owned by the Ventriloquist character and the setup lines and subject lines are owned by the Ventriloquist.

Subject lines can be anything the Ventriloquist wishes to have a conversation about, school, dating, marriage, pets, travel, and so on, as the Ventriloquist engage in to the topic with the Ventriloquist character the topic sentence connects to a sentence that brings laughter from the listener and watchers this sentence is called the punchline that is owned by the Ventriloquist character.

When you write your script for your lines you can write your name or you can write the word VENTRILOQUIST:
or your name such as PAUL:
so the lines for your part on the script should look like this
Ventriloquist:
Or
PAUL:
the written lines for the Ventriloquist character or dummy or Ventriloquial figures name, let's say the Ventriloquist character name is Billy you would write
BILLY:
OR
DUMMY:
OR
Ventriloquist character:

Example:
Ventriloquist: I want to know how are you doing in school?...
Dummy: I am doing okay...
Ventriloquist: you should be doing better than okay, you should be outstanding!, are you outstanding?...
Dummy: yes I am outstanding...
Ventriloquist: good, I am proud of you...
Dummy; I am outstanding in the hall.
(Above ☝️ the topic is school, the subject is the authority figure wants to know the child activity in school, hopefully the child is doing very well in school, the authority figure sentence lead the setup lines with hope of a positive future for the child, the child answer is the punchline that brings humor or laughter.)

πŸ“œ ✍️

A Ventriloquist script is called a dialogue, dialogue means two person conversation, a monologue means one person speaking most standup comedians perform a monologue and yes a Ventriloquist dummy can do a monologue with a Ventriloquist act, with a monologue Ventriloquist act the Ventriloquist would mostly be a listener to the Ventriloquist character conversation and doing this kind of Ventriloquist act the Ventriloquist will communicate with facial expressions such as smiling or laughing or surprising or shocked 😲😳 or embarrassed and so on, as a silent partner in the a Ventriloquist monologue act the Ventriloquist has a pretend role that does participate in the act but it's with out speech.

Writing A monologue script can be with stage directions so yes you are not only a writer and a actor but a director also..in the script the Ventriloquist character might say I need to make a phone call, call this phone number on your phone for me 3-1-0-2-2-9-5-3-3-4-in the script direction it read (Ventriloquist take phone from his pocket then pretend to put phone numbers in phone and then place it up to Ventriloquist character ear)
Dummy: I need to make a phone call
Ventriloquist: ( take phone from pocket, call phone number and place it up to Ventriloquist character ear)

These scripts are for rehearsal after fully completed... after you have completed the script it needs a title... your beginning script will be a rough drift, adding and removing content or jokes that may not be satisfactory for your script, once you are satisfied with the topic, the subject and the punchlines the rough drift will be rewritten on a fresh clean page called the original sheet after testing the original sheet with family and friends or audience members the original sheet is judged by you if it's a original sheet or a final blue print..if the script reaches blue print then this script is a guaranteed.

The purpose of script writing is for future files this means two years from now you might want to create a new act,, these scripts are on file and ready for rehearsal..a Ventriloquist act is not easy to create and a bit or a skit is not easy to create, it takes time to write a script and it takes time to put a Ventriloquist act together I need to remind you a Ventriloquist act is from 45 minutes to 70 minutes so you need jokes and bits and skits and amusing content with a pretending conversation for 45 to 70 minutes most performing shows are booked or hired for 60 minutes. so you need a script that can fulfill the time..

A idea πŸ’‘ for a script to fulfill the time would look like this in a rough draft..
Joke 1minute and another joke 1 minute and another joke 1 minute and 1 minute joke another 1 minute joke, sing a song 5 minute  sing another song 5 minutes, introduced another dummy, dummy #2, 1 minute joke, dummy number 2  jokes 1 minute, joke 1 minute and joke 1 minute as you can see in this idea rough draft I have around 20 minutes of the script fulfilled.. you will need to be able to hold an audience or someone attention for 70 minutes, you need a script that is amusing for 70 minutes..the rough drift needs to be tested, what is a rough draft, it's ideas and thoughts that are raw, it's untested jokes and content and material.

A pretend conversation is the role that you play in the script, the pretend conversation IS the guaranteed blue print, the complete πŸ’― fulfilled script called the "Ventriloquist act" ...in the script your role is the Ventriloquist or authority figure, your Ventriloquist dummy play the role of a character in the script, that's why they are called dummies or Ventriloquist character, the word dummy also means pretending to be something it's not or to take the place of a real one or a copy of a original, a Ventriloquist character means a character created by a Ventriloquist.. the Ventriloquist and the Ventriloquist character tell the story by acting out the role in the script.
