In ancient history there were belly dancers, magicians, gypsy, fortunetellers, jesters and others that the kings and queens invited to the palace and the kingdoms of the lands.. theses invited people we call them performers and entertainers...

the traveling 🎪 circus was a place for entertainers and performers.

before radio 📻 vaudeville was.. let's think for a moment about the world of entertainment, it has always been around since the time of civilization. We take a look at sales and economics it's always been around since the time of civilization if you look at the oldest book on planet earth you read about Jesus Christ turning tables over in the market place. 

There was once a time when there were door to door salesman. 

When radio became a new way to make money for business the search to build a audience begin. Vauldeville was time and gathering for a audience, with radio the ears were the target 🎯, no need to gather and need to preparing time, all was needed was 👂 ears so this new technology provided convenient for entertainment in replacing vauldeville and news papers, no need to read the news now you listen to a voice read the news for you, this new technology was growing and the devices called radio 📻 were becoming a very important device in society like the smartphone today. 

radio was not always 24 hours because it did not have the content to fill for 24 hours.. radio producers start looking for time fillers for the dead AIR of their radio broadcast station, these producers hired scouts today we call them talent agents and show business managers, the radio producers sent scouts to theaters, night clubs, bars, vauldeville shows, street performers, looking for entertainers or interesting people..as radio build it's audience and the technology grew voices on the radio became famous characters, and thousands of ears would be glued to the box devices called radio..now the ears were available business and sponsors and companies investments in advertisement or public announcements on radio became the radio producers dependent meaning from the birth of radio it has been addictive to it's sponsors and investors. It was the sponsors that take care Ventriloquist edgar Bergen not the radio station it take me years and years of research to discover the secret success of Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen Ventriloquist career, something you might not know in the art of ventriloquism world "some" Ventriloquists did not honor Edgar Bergen as a Ventriloquist because of his lip control this brought on the rival of Ventriloquist Paul Winchell, in the ventriloquism world those "some" ventriloquists honor Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney over Bergen and McCarthy.... the radio sponsors take very good care of their radio super star Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen, what happened? well, television 📺 arrived now the audience are all eyes 👀 and all 👂EARS so unfortunately the curtin was pulled back on Edgar Bergen lip control and sure there was movies before television but the radio listeners were deeply in love 😘 💕 with their radio Gods and Goddess, not only was the ear 👂 the target audience but with movies 🎥 the brain 🧠 was the target audience, radio Gods and Goddess in films became more powerful with their "listening audience" in other words these are "fans" and with fans their idols can do no wrong but with television 📺 Ventriloquists were hungry and they came with television to eat the competition..in other words television was a bigger device than radio and very much powerful technology than radio, now television producers send scouts to look for time fillers, just like the Internet wars in the beginning of social media the entertainment audience was no longer in one place now television is a dependent with sponsors and investors just like radio, scouts are looking for a super star like Edgar Bergen was for radio for television, the art of ventriloquism grew with television, many students enrolled in ventriloquism because a Ventriloquist was on television 📺.

Note: before television vauldeville was where Ventriloquists lived and worked now that this new media technology has arrived called television Ventriloquists beginning to live and work again, we can say television was a bigger powerful vauldeville for Ventriloquists and most importantly the art of ventriloquism.

With the hunger of ventriloquists to eat the competition.. with the new generations of television eyes and ears and with the growth of this new media technology called television Ventriloquism radio Gods and Goddess began to fall from grace. 

What do we learn here..well, the entertainment industry has been on planet earth for a very long time.. economics are part of life... business is always business meaning the suit and 👔 tie men and women...in ancient history the religious leaders used there slaves to make statue 🗿 speak theses slaves were called belly talkers for 20 years Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen sit on his throne performing on the radio once a week.
