installed closing eyes

A Ventriloquist dummy that has installed closing eyes animation can be used for when the Ventriloquist dummy fall asleep.

Closing the eye repeatedly slowly with the head slowly tilting down give the illusion that the Ventriloquist figure falling asleep. 

The eyes quickly opening and closing about three times in a row give the illusion that the Ventriloquist dummy is blinking.  

Eyes blinking while the Ventriloquist dummy is talking is a very good illusion of life.

 
Ventriloquist dummy with closing eyes has a different string control on the head stick this means eye control and closing eyes are different moving parts.

One eye closing installation on a Ventriloquial figure is called a winker, many Ventriloquial figures has the winker effect installed, in other words the winker is more popular than the blinker, on some blinkers a string for the winking effect can be used... some figure makers build figures in their own way and some figure makers are formal figure makers so you might find a Ventriloquial figure with similar stick controls for eye effects, but my witness of the eye closing effect on the head stick was one control for winkers and one control for blinkers and in most cases the winker was most popular with no blinking eye effects. 
The winker is for when the Ventriloquial figures flirting or communication with the audience.
Winker is mainly used for getting laughter or being cute or the Ventriloquial character showing off.



Many skits can be written for the winker effect. 
Is the installation of the winker effect expensive? the answer is, any installment is a investment forever, a Ventriloquist dummy with installed parts value go up, meaning a Ventriloquist dummy with out installed parts price is lower unless the Ventriloquial figure is a collector item with no installation parts.  

Installed parts are usually done by a dummy builder or figure makers..
the basic Ventriloquist dummy is moving mouth and head same with soft puppets.

The difference between a Ventriloquist figure with installed parts and a basic Ventriloquist figure is that repairs are needed for the Ventriloquial figure that has installed parts and the basic Ventriloquist figure might need a maintenance...yes maintenance versus repairs and not only repairs but protection of the installment system.
