Most human marionette don't speak in this case the Ventriloquist become a storyteller while the human marionette provides the movement.

Let me be clear on this subject...I have met very world famous puppeteers, some I will not mention by name but I will mention Steve meltzer for this subject. Steve meltzer owned a puppet studio in California, I visited him a few times for showbusiness purposes. 
Most of the puppeteers I've visited are very very very serious about their art and craft they are different from Ventriloquists, I have met world famous Ventriloquists also and they are a different breed but Ventriloquists and puppeteers are ancient history cousins.

I am beyond thankful for one of the world famous puppeteers sharing his blueprints with me when I was a young Ventriloquist I will not mention his name on this subject but I have mentioned his name on other subjects. but I mentioned Steve meltzer because I wanted to express his dedication to his art of ventriloquism and puppetry. The thing about Steve meltzer puppet studio it was just like all the other buildings on a busy street, the puppet studio was built like a store front people walking passed it every day just like an ordinary shop or store then you open the door walk inside to enter a world of imagination.
